About This Role

The PublicSector Account Manager serves as a business expert for all thingsgovernment sales, developing new prospects and interacting with anexisting portfolio of clients to increase sales of UScellular’sproducts, services and solutions to government agencies.Responsible for provoking, uncovering, cultivating and closingsales of sophisticated solutions designed forclients.

  • Proactively build andmanage a sales funnel of opportunities that enables consistentsales growth and quota achievement.
  • Generatenew business development with existing agencies and prospect fornew opportunities with government agencies.
  • Develop client growth and retention plans, securing newbusiness and building additional revenue streams through a customerfocused approach to account review & management.
  • Participate in strategic networking, relationshipbuilding, and influencing to identify and grow client base as wellas local brand awareness.
  • Identify, qualify,and pursue strategic business opportunities with governmentagencies through customer relationships, effective proposaldevelopment, bid strategies, and product & solutionexpertise.
  • Deliver competitive knowledge andsolution industry expertise to close government salesopportunities.
  • Identify and act on competitivesolicitations and RFPs, RFQs, RFIs.
  • Identifyand qualify opportunities to add value within the government spaceand strategically engage internal and external support partners toposition solutions, close sales, and deliver an excellent customerexperience.
  • Handle the contractlifecycle, resolve contract questions and concerns, and managebasic and sophisticated capabilities questions.

MinimumRequirements

  • Bachelor's degree orequivalent combination of education and work experience.
  • 3 or more years' business sales experience.
  • Demonstrated experience creating winning proposals, witha track record of meeting and exceeding sales objectives andquotas.
  • Experience with relationship sellingand management of a large portfolio of accounts.
  • Experience and sales success in the integrated solutionsspace.
  • Ability to operate independently tobuild a revenue generating sales pipeline / channel, and toeffectively collaborate and engage with colleagues and vendors asneeded to achieve business goals.
  • Experiencewith business case development that includes Total Cost ofOwnership and Return on Investment techniques for presentation toclients.
  • Excellent communications andpresentation skills, both written and verbal.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, ever-changingenvironment and effectively balance multiple demands andpriorities.
  • Valid driver's license and abilityto travel 50-70%.
  • PREFERREDQUALIFICATIONS

  • Experience inGovernment (SLED) account sales with knowledge of governmentprocurement and contracting processes such as RFP / RFQ / RFI,proposals, public sector teaming with strategic resellers, federalintegrators and other local, state, and / or federalpartners.
  • Experience in wireless sales andsoftware, IT or related telecommunications industry.
