About the role
Passionate about technology? Your next opportunity will assist our engineers and architects within the US CTO organization with innovative technology tasks. We’re on the lookout for an enthusiastic and personable Device Technology Intern who can help with lab testing, app development, data collection, and documentation to be implemented for our Mobile Private Networks products. Based in our modern New York City office and labs, you will be immersed in every aspect of our technological environment.
What you’ll be doing
As part of the US Technology Product Development team, you’ll mainly be involved with assisting:
- End-to-end validation of the UE registration process.
- Modem KPI validation using modem logging software for log collection externally and on device.
- Developing smart phone (UE) test scripting for automating regression testing and data collection.
- End-to-end validation of the UE registration process.
- Source Control Management and Software Integration working in a DevOps Environment.
- Organizing and writing documentation.
- Maintaining the lab, its organization, network and RF cabling, etc.
- Other tasks as assigned.
What you’ll bring
Think you could make a difference here? We’re looking for someone who genuinely cares about the welfare of our team. You’ll want to make an impact from day one. You will also have the following:
- Currently enrolled in a bachelor’s or master’s degree program in telecommunications engineering, computer engineering, computer science, electrical engineering, or a related field
- 2nd year undergraduate or above with a minimum 3.5 GPA
- Knowledge of 3GPP wireless communication standards, TCP/IP protocol stack, Python, and other scripting languages
- Knowledge of LTE, 5G NR SA and 5G NR NSA Radio Access Technologies
- Mobile application development experience a huge plus
- IP networking knowledge preferred
- Working knowledge of developer modes on smartphones and mobile routers/CPEs
- Working knowledge of Linux OS (Debian preferred)
- Strong communication and collaboration abilities to work effectively in teams.
- Knowledge and understanding of wireless communication technologies and industry trends.
- Prior experience or projects demonstrating a passion for innovation and technology.
