Daycare Assistant Teacher

Job Summary
We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Daycare Teacher to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for creating a safe, nurturing, and stimulating environment for children in our care. This role involves engaging with toddlers and preschool-aged children, fostering their development through play-based learning, and ensuring their well-being. The Daycare Teacher will work collaboratively with other staff members to support the educational and emotional needs of each child.

Duties

• Provide attentive care to toddlers and preschool-aged children, ensuring their safety and well-being at all times.
• Plan and implement age-appropriate educational activities that promote childhood development, including social, emotional, physical, and cognitive skills.
• Maintain a clean and organized classroom environment conducive to learning and exploration.
• Observe and assess children's progress, documenting milestones and communicating effectively with parents regarding their child's development.
• Foster positive relationships with children, encouraging them to express themselves and develop independence.
• Collaborate with colleagues to create a cohesive teaching approach that meets the needs of all children, including those requiring special education support.
• Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations, including maintaining first aid certifications.

Requirements

• Completion of all KDHE daycare licensure requirements including physical, TB Test, background check, fingerprints, CPR and First Aid, online course work, and orientation.
