Special Education Social Worker Paraeducator
The Special Services Cooperative of Wamego has a vacancy for a Special Education Social Worker Paraeducator for the 24-25 school year. The Special Services Cooperative serves Wamego, Rock Creek, and Wabaunsee Districts. This cooperative-wide position will work directly under the supervision of a licensed master’s or higher social worker who provides direct
supervision and meets the supervision requirements of K.A.R. 102-2-8.
Paraeducators must hold a baccalaureate degree in social work for which they are trained, and may not be involved in conducting intervention techniques, including psychotherapy. Applicants must be reliable, hard-working, flexible, and organized. Applicants must also be able to work independently and follow directions/schedules as per directed. The exact assignment location will be discussed upon interview.
The pay for this position is commensurate with experience and completed education level. Employees working at least 30 hours per week are offered a competitive medical plan and supplemental benefits package. Most positions are eligible for KPERS retirement.
