Job Summary
The District Delivery Driver has the primary responsibility for transporting breakfast and lunch from the Chaparral kitchen to each satellite building, as well as delivering interoffice mail and packages.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent
Required Knowledge & Abilities
- Ability to hold a driver’s license and clean driving record.
- Ability to work independently without supervision.
- Ability to read, write, and comprehend written and oral instructions.
- Must be neat, responsible, punctual, and dependable.
Performance Responsibilities
- Perform delivery duties which shall include but not be limited to the following: (a) transport food and materials to and from the base kitchen; (b) transport interoffice mail and packages between district buildings including ability to physically lifting up to 40 lbs.
- Perform grounds keeping duties which shall include but not be limited to the following: (a) clean snow and ice from the sidewalks and entrances when feasible; (b) assist in the cleanup or removal of dangerous or unsightly debris from grounds
- Assist with ordering district supplies
- Assist the buildings and grounds staff with duties during the summer months
- Perform general maintenance duties
- Report need for minor or major repairs to building systems or delivery vehicle
- Use cleaning implements or equipment, machinery and vehicles provided by the district to accomplish job tasks
- Organize and care for district garage space
- Maintain mowing and outdoor responsibilities at the district office
- Communicate closely with district food service director to ensure appropriate meal delivery schedules
- Organize and carry out orders from warehouse suppliers, in conjunction with building secretaries
- Transport bank deposits for school building activity funds in a timely manner
- Other duties as assigned
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $12.23 - $22.40 per hour
