Substitute Teacher

Position Overview:
We are seeking dedicated, adaptable, and professional individuals to join our team as Substitute Teachers. As a Substitute Teacher, you will play a key role in maintaining continuity in students’ learning experiences during the absence of their regular teacher. This position requires flexibility, strong classroom management skills, and the ability to adapt to diverse learning environments and student needs.

Key Responsibilities:

• Deliver lesson plans provided by the regular teacher or create engaging, age-appropriate lessons as needed.
• Maintain a positive and productive classroom environment.
• Manage student behavior effectively and address issues in accordance with school policies.
• Ensure student safety and well-being at all times.
• Communicate clearly with students, staff, and administration.
• Document and report any significant incidents or observations to the appropriate personnel.
• Assist with additional duties as required, such as lunchroom or hallway supervision.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree (preferred) or a minimum of 60 college credits in a related field.
• Current teaching certification or substitute teaching permit (as required by the state).
• Previous teaching or tutoring experience is an asset.
• Strong communication and organizational skills.
• Ability to adapt quickly to different subjects, grade levels, and school environments.
• Patience, empathy, and a genuine passion for education.
