The Junior High Cheerleading Sponsor plays a crucial role in fostering school spirit and promoting teamwork among students. Duties

• Organize and conduct cheerleading practices, focusing on skill development, choreography, and routines.
• Teach cheerleading techniques, stunts, and safety practices to students.
• Foster a supportive team environment that encourages participation and teamwork.
• Manage student behavior during practices and events to ensure a respectful atmosphere.
• Collaborate with school staff to coordinate cheerleading events and performances.
• Communicate regularly with parents regarding team activities and student progress.
• Promote physical fitness and healthy lifestyles among team members.
• Serve as a positive role model for students both on and off the field.

Requirements

• Experience in cheerleading or sports coaching is preferred.
• Strong skills in behavior management to effectively guide student conduct.
• Previous experience working with children or youth in educational or recreational settings is highly desirable.
• Ability to educate students on the importance of teamwork, discipline, and physical fitness.
• A genuine interest in mentoring young athletes and promoting their personal growth.
