Are you an electronically inclined, self-motivated person that doesn't mind traveling? If so, keep reading! We are looking to hire someone with an electronics background who can routinely work with PLC's, variable frequency drives and other programmable equipment. As a Field Service Technician at USEMCO you would diagnose, and repair equipment problems, perform start up service, and provide customer training for a variety of company products such as lift stations and control panels. You must have the ability to exercise tact, good judgement, and have good communication skills to discuss product start up, repair, and warranty related matters with customers. It is a must you also be able to work at considerable heights and in confined spaces while performing product start-ups and repairs.

1st Shift/Full-Time: 7:00 AM - 3:30 PM; Monday - Friday
Competitive Starting Pay: $25.00 /hr. BOE
Working Conditions: Frequent travel; Some overnights

YOUR JOB DUTIES
- Perform equipment start up service on a variety of company products such as sewage treatment lift stations, control panels, and water booster stations.
- Perform field service calls, diagnosing mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic lift station failures, making required repairs.
- Design and fabricate required repair parts on-site.
- Train customer maintenance personnel on-site in product maintenance and repair techniques.
- Perform programming function on programmable equipment.
- Drive a company motor vehicle to customer location.
- Assist in shop testing of company products, reading and understanding shop drawings, electrical schematics, and engineering specifications.

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE
Requires education generally equivalent to an associate degree in maintenance procedures or another related discipline and 6 to 12 months related experience in product start up and repair techniques.
SKILLS AND ABILITIES YOU WILL NEED
- Possess a valid driver’s license.
- Read and interpret information such as maintenance procedures, customer service-related documents, and maps.
- Write service reports and customer service-related correspondence.
- Good oral communication skills to discuss product start up, warranty, and repair related issues with customers.
- Operate a variety of tools and equipment such as a cell phone, calculator, hand tools, power tools, electrical test meters, welders and acetylene torches, programmable equipment, and portable power generators.
- Frequently lift and/or move up to 10 pounds and must occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds to lift and hold panels and valves during installation, raise and lower tools/part into and out of lift stations, and unload equipment from the service truck.
