What are the responsibilities and job description for the IT Help Desk Analyst position at Uses Group?
The IT Help Desk Analyst provides outstanding customer support to the end users on a variety of issues. They will be the main point of contact to the end users as they respond to submitted tickets, telephone calls, email, and personal requests. This individual will identify, research, and resolve technical problems and find acceptable solutions. They should have high analytical capabilities and be able to understand business needs. This individual should have excellent problem-solving abilities, effective communication skills, as well as firsthand experience with technical projects. This individual will report to and collaborate closely with the Director of IT to provide a high-quality service to all end-users. This individual will be able to take ownership of their role and grow with the company. This individual should be able to see what needs improvement and suggest practical solutions.
Key Responsibilities:
Troubleshoot technical issues in a Windows environment for both remote and in-office users.
Communicate with stakeholders to understand their needs and requirements with the purpose of analyzing and developing functional solutions.
Follow, update, and provide documentation for all IT policies and procedures.
Assist with new user Onboarding / Onsite Installations by configuring, deploying, and documenting all new equipment and accounts by following the IT procedures/systems.
Assist with user Offboarding / Equipment Retrieval by documenting and following the IT procedures/systems.
Work with the IT team to design efficient IT systems, policies, and procedures to meet business and technology needs.
Take ownership, plan, and oversee IT projects (e.g., upgrades, hardware/software installations) as assigned.
Provide advice and technical training to end users.
Keep abreast of current technological trends and developments.
Qualifications:

Education:
- High school diploma required.
- Associates degree in information technology, Computer Science, or a related field preferred.
- Experience:
- 2-4 years of experience in IT role (help desk, analysis, support, or a related role).
- Experience with problem solving, system analysis, and project support is preferred.

Skills:
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
- Proficiency in IT systems, software applications, and databases.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to gather and translate business requirements into technical specifications.
- Need to be a self-starter and be able to work with minimal supervision.

Technical Knowledge:
- Some understanding of IT infrastructure, network systems, and security principles.
- Experience with data analysis tools and reporting software.
- Knowledge base of Microsoft Windows systems and software (for both cloud and on-prem)
