Join USfalcon as an Operations Research Analyst, Craftsman and serve as the Lessons Learned Specialist for the 392 Combat Training Squadron (392 CTS) United States Space Force (USSF) Exercise Team at Schriever SFB, CO. This role directly impacts the USSF’s operational effectiveness by analyzing exercise results to identify opportunities for continuous process improvements, enhance training, and inform future operational strategies. Your work will be critical to shaping the future of USSF training and operations.
Pay: $140,000 -$152,000
Essential Duties
Exercise Lessons Learned & Process Improvement
- Develop and manage the 392 CTS USSF Exercise Lessons Learned (LL) and Continuous Process Improvement programs.
- Coordinate with internal and external stakeholders to leverage best practices for data collection, analysis, and improvement recommendations.
- Analyze exercise assessments, surveys, and data to generate actionable insights that inform USSF operations, training, and acquisition processes.
Data Collection & Analysis
- Implement data collection methods for exercises, including surveys and post-exercise assessments.
- Capture and analyze lessons learned during exercise design, planning, and execution to drive actionable improvements.
- Produce detailed reports summarizing lessons learned and suggest actionable changes to enhance exercise performance.
Collaboration & Stakeholder Engagement
- Attend USSF and STARCOM meetings to provide insights on exercise outcomes and lessons learned.
- Participate in after-action debriefs and report development to ensure continuous improvement in training processes.
- Engage with various stakeholders at all levels to integrate lessons learned into future training and operational planning.
Reporting & Documentation
- Prepare detailed reports, including trip reports, exercise planning documents, after-action reports, lessons learned, and meeting minutes, in accordance with contractual timelines.
Required Qualifications
- 10-15 years of experience in space operations.
- Proficiency in data collection, analysis, and interpretation, with a focus on deriving actionable insights from large datasets.
- Hands-on experience with exercise planning and reporting tools, including Joint Lessons Learned Information System (JLLIS), Joint Training Information Management System (JTIMS), and Joint Master Scenario Events List (JMSEL).
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision and manage multiple tasks.
Preferred Qualifications
- 5 years of experience in operations research, data analysis, or lessons learned programs.
- Previous experience with military training exercises or in a DoD-related lessons learned role.
Education & Certification
- Bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution OR additional years of experience may be substituted for degree requirement
Required Clearance
- Top Secret/SCI with Special Access Program (SAP) eligibility
Travel
- Limited travel required: less than 4-5 weeks per year, primarily for exercise planning and after-action events.
