What are the responsibilities and job description for the Mill Clean Up position at USG Corporation?
Role & Responsibilities:
- Adhere to all safety requirements with the mill department
- Responsible for maintaining cleanliness and safety in the mill department
- Expected to take an active role in identifying, reporting and fixing sources of housekeeping
- Clean assigned areas using tools such as brooms, shovels, wheelbarrows, etc.
- Areas included, but not limited to, are walkways, catwalks, stairways, process equipment,
- Job requires employees to work in areas year round that are subject to varying
Qualifications & Requirements
- Able to work in a manufacturing setting in a safe manner and follow all plant safety and
- Able to learn to operate plant equipment
- Ability to interpret written and verbal instructions
- Possess basic maintenance skills, including familiarity with common hand tools and how to
- Have basic computer skills to access email and training videos
- Effective teamwork and communication skills needs with all co-workers
- Maintain regular and predictable attendance
- Adaptable to scheduling requirements
- Meet the essential physical requirements of the position. Negotiate stairs and using brooms
- Regular part-time position. Predominantly 4 day work week. Day shift hours, 7:00 A.M. –
Rate of pay may be adjusted based on the qualifications and experience of the candidate.
