Description
- Responsible for leading the safe operation of the Reliability/Engineering Department consisting of approximately 45 employees including direct reports consisting of a Reliability General Foreman and Project Engineers.
- Accountable to motivating the team to achievement of company-assigned performance targets for safety, customer satisfaction, cost and efficiency.
- Effectively manage procurement, spending and repairs inventories for capital, non-routine, infrastructure and MRO within established budgets.
- Establish performance excellence with strong organizational skills and the ability to effectively manage multiple projects, prioritize activities, and implement Best-In-Class work practices utilizing the RPM Model. Optimize reliability for all board, mill, ready mix equipment, mobile equipment, operations supporting equipment and facilities to maintain operations in good operating order.
- Responsible for the development and implementation of process control/programming, non-routine/infrastructure maintenance, facility planning, and capital equipment upgrades.
- Oversees the training of assigned employees to ensure a high level of engagement and timely development and succession.
- Integrates a focus of Continuous Improvement into the execution of daily activities.
Qualifications & Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in engineering.
- Strong leadership, communication (verbal and written), decision making and employee relations skills within a diverse workforce environment. Motivated self-starter with a high level of organizational skills and the ability to prioritize tasks and effectively manage multiple projects.
- Knowledgeable of safety compliance programs with a strong emphasis on safety, quality and housekeeping.
- Must have demonstrated abilities to operate within a planned budget and manage cost within established goals.
- Prior experience with the RPM program.
- Prior experience with LEAN activities is a plus.
Rate of pay may be adjusted based on the qualifications and experience of the candidate.
