Current Opportunity : Facility Operator – Reliability
Pay Rate : $22.00 / hour – $24.25 / hour
The Facility Crew is the primary group responsible for cleaning and maintaining general areas of the plant and grounds. Many duties of the Facility Crew will vary depending on plant needs; however, the following tasks are considered core parts of the job :
- Maintain a professional level of cleanliness throughout areas of the plant as directed.
- Perform upkeep of the plant grounds, including snow removal, mowing, weed trimming, spreading mulch, and other manual landscaping tasks.
- Operate mobile equipment as required, including, but not limited to, dump truck, vacuum truck, sweeper truck, fork trucks, front end loader, skid-steer loaders, UTV’s and manlifts.
- Ability to safely use common power and hand tools.
- Perform general building maintenance tasks including, but not limited to, remodeling of shared spaces, painting, cleaning, sweeping, HVAC cleaning, .
- Painting production area including, but not limited to, handrails, walls, equipment, floor striping, and miscellaneous items as directed.
- Perform a variety of basic SAR safety inspections throughout the plant.
- Assist Reliability Maintenance and perform other tasks as needed.
- Assist production Departments and perform other tasks as needed
- Ability to work in a support role within another department based on business needs.
- Complete 5S training workshop, implement 5S project, and support other Departmental 5S projects.
Responsibilities of the Facility Crew may evolve as the positions are implemented. Candidates should understand that Production area and grounds cleaning duties are a sizable portion of this role.
Positions range from Facility Crew Operator 1 to Facility Crew Operator 3. Advanced positions require diverse mechanical and or Production skills as described in the Operator Rate Program. Starting pay rate will depend on relevant experience and skills. Contact the Hiring Manager for additional details regarding Operator Rate Program.
Qualifications
1. Able to work in a manufacturing setting in a safe manner and follow all plant safety rules and practices.
2. Able to work in environmental temperature extremes ranging from cold in winter months to hot in summer months.
3. Able to work often in dusty and dirty environments.
4. Willing and able to perform cleaning and other manual tasks throughout the plant.
5. Self-starter who can complete a list of assigned tasks with minimal supervision.
6. Good time management skills and high standard of work quality and attention to details.
7. Demonstrates a mechanical aptitude and is motivated to work towards advancement.
8. Prior experience in general contracting is a plus, with skills pertaining to carpentry, electrical, plumbing, painting, automotive maintenance, and roofing.
9. Ability to complete a wide array of repair and maintenance tasks with minimal supervision.
10. Although the primary work schedule will be Monday through Friday, must be willing and able to work overtime, any shift, and accept afterhours call-ins as required by business needs.
11. Knowledge of mechanical, plumbing, carpentry, and electrical systems a plus.
12. Previous experience in a similar role preferred.
13. Reliable, predictive attendance is required.

Rate of pay may be adjusted based on the qualifications and experience of the candidate.
