We're looking for an enthusiastic, hands-on Gallery and Marketing Assistant to join our team and help drive the growth of our downtown Petaluma art gallery and gift shop. Key Responsibilities:
- Assist with operations of the gallery, providing excellent customer service, assisting with sales, helping with events.
- Oversee the gallery’s website, ensuring content is up-to-date and accurate, with an eye for design and user experience.
- Create, curate, and schedule engaging content for social media platforms (Instagram, Facebook, etc.) to promote the gallery’s exhibitions, events, and products.
- Collaborate on marketing emails and promotional campaigns. Post events to local calendars and assist with flyer distribution and other marketing tasks.
- Assist with inventory management, restocking merchandise, and creating visually appealing displays.
- Support the coordination of gallery events, openings, workshops, and other special projects.
Qualifications:
- Strong interest in art, design, and marketing, with a desire to contribute to the success of a creative space.
- Experience with social media platforms and content creation
- Exceptional written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to work independently, as well as collaborate effectively within a team.
- Basic knowledge of website management is a plus, but not required, as long as there is a willingess to learn.
- Flexible part-time schedule, with occasional weekend availability for events and gallery openings.
