A driven Quality Engineer with experience in CNC machining and / or industrial gas turbine manufacturing.Strong knowledge of quality assurance tools, methodologies, and ISO standards.A proactive problem solver who thrives in a collaborative environment.Requirements
SUMMARY OF DUTIES :
Provides quality assurance and engineering technical expertise to fully support manufacturing operations in accordance with customer and business requirements.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES :
Ensures product quality is defined, achieved, maintained, and monitored for all parts and processesLeads continuous improvement through root cause and statistical analysis of manufacturing processesContributes to quality engineering and related projects to meet LEAN and customer-based targetsSPECIFIC DUTIES ASSIGNED :
QUALITY ENGINEERING
Assists in establishing, implementing, and maintaining Quality Management System and related elementsAnalyzes failures; identifies corrective and preventative actions, follow-ups, and closure of casesManages, monitors, and audits supplier acceptance requirements, performance, and defectsDetermines quality improvement parameters through statistical and root-cause analysis including C pk (Process Capability Index) and P pk (Process Performance Index)Develops, presents, and discusses proposals and refinementsEnsures timely resolution of internal, supplier, and escape defects and / or failuresRecommends, determines, and implements appropriate corrective actions for quality issuesCreates highly detailed documentation for the development and manufacturing of productsDevelops and recommends resources and methods for material and processes; assists with quotationsPerforms routine inspections and audits of processes and data in accordance with defined sampling plansMANUFACTURING SUPPORT
Provides input for routers, inspection criteria, process flow, etc.Understands capabilities of manufacturing operations including quality, LEAN manufacturing, & personnelConfers with engineering and manufacturing teams on business and customer quality requirementsOffers guidance and expertise to manufacturing teams on application and methodsGENERAL RESPONSIBILITIES :

Verifiable High School Diploma or equivalent
Bachelor's degree within engineering, quality engineering, or similar field highly preferred
5-7 years in a quality engineering role and experience inspecting conventionally machined (turning, milling, and drilling) parts
