JOB DESCRIPTION:
The Delivery Driver is a key member of the Usherwood Team that is responsible for the delivery and install of office technology equipment at our clients' locations.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Complete delivery and install of office technology equipment at client sites according to Usherwood standards and directives from the service department.
- Collect and submit signed delivery paperwork for all stops (i.e.: Lease Delivery and Acceptance form).
- Communicate with the Integration Team at every stop to keep them up to date on their tickets for deployments. a
- Collect a picture of both the new equipment and equipment being picked up and send into the assigned email group.
- Maintain an accurate and compliant ELD report through Cyntrx.
- Perform daily inspection of the delivery vehicle to be operated.
- Peruse the delivery calendar to stay aware of appropriate timetable for departure to arrive at your destination on time.
- Keep an up-to-date DOT physical card.
- Collect and submit paperwork for return equipment to distribution center team with all relevant information (Serial numbers, meter reads, etc.)
- When time permits, assist the distribution center staff with tasks in the warehouse (i.e., loading/unloading trucks, organizing/consolidating inventory, cleaning up, running refuse (cardboard, foam, metal) to the applicable disposal site via truck.
- Perform all tasks while maintaining an awareness and adherence to safety and security protocols.
SKILLS AND QUALIFICATIONS:
- High school diploma required.
- Comfort with driving up to a 26-foot box truck.
- Experience driving a non-CDL box truck in winter weather and in large cities is a plus.
- Experience with networking equipment especially in an office environment is a plus.
- Excellent communication skills.
- Great organizational skills.
- Ability to work under pressure.
- Ability to keep many tasks organized and moving forward at once.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office products.
- Excellent attention to detail and accuracy in completion of tasks.
- Proactive attitude, self-starting in finding the highest priority work.
- Demonstrated problem troubleshooting, root cause and resolution skills.
- Aptitude in operating office technology daily.
