Position Summary:
Reporting to the SVP of Operations, the Area Vice President is a key leader responsible for a division's operational success with oversight to multiple practices. The AVP leads and directs operational plans for the division, ensuring achievement of set targets including divisional achievement of growth levers through successful P&L integrations, denovo launches and management, ancillary service integrations, and patient capacity growth.
Responsibilities may include:
Responsible for the operational success of a division through the execution of strategic initiatives and the effective management of key growth levers throughout multiple practices.
Leads and directs operational plans for the division, ensuring achievement of set targets including P&L results.
Partners with practice administration to ensure services are efficiently designed to meet the needs of patients, physicians, and employees.
Responsible for divisional achievement of growth levers through successful P&L integrations, denovo launches and management, ancillary service integrations, and patient capacity growth.
- Review organizational health and effectively diagnose and recommend solutions to complex issues that may span multiple teams, including decisions around resource prioritization, top-level goal alignment, and balancing impact with team longevity.
- Participates in overall strategic operational and clinical goal setting for their division and actively manages against set targets to achieve results.
- Provides timely and effective communication to all stakeholders and consistently drives practice excellence through differentiated, high quality outputs.
- Partners with SVP and Finance to ensure accurate financial budgeting, reporting, and forecasting for division. Identifies trends to proactively address and mitigate financial impacts.
- Actively uses a variety of data mechanisms to track and monitor operational, clinical, and financial performance measures to address and positively impact performance in all three areas.
- Demonstrates excellence in all activities and holds leadership to a consistent execution of key processes, protocols, and procedures across all practices, achieving the agreed upon plans and objectives established.
- Provides timely and constructive coaching to direct reports, creating a high-performance and engaged culture where teams feel valued and developed.
Minimum Qualifications:
Degree in business or a related field from a regionally accredited institution and 6 years of progressive experience in operational leadership in multi-site healthcare operations with proven outcomes for driving successful results.
Competencies:
Proven capability to be results-oriented and lead operations to scale
Track record of successful fiscal and operating leadership; demonstrated financial expertise
Proven ability to identify and define business problems and issues and develop strategic and financial frameworks
Powerful communication and presentation skills, both written and verbal, including the ability to influence and impact results at all levels internally and externally
