What are the responsibilities and job description for the Claims Assistant position at USI Holdings Corporation?
General Description : Under general supervision, responsible for routine tasks, established projects and routine problem solving in support of claims. Assist in claim administration functions for clients of the business.
Responsibilities :
- Ability to effectively communicate with internal and external customers and adjusters.
- Basic technical / administrative capability to report basic claims and use basic features of carrier / TPA claim management systems.
- Participates in the execution of claims denial review, reservation of rights review, and claim reporting.
- Assists in entering claims data on behalf of field adjusters.
- Maintain claims file database on agency management system
- Proofreading documents for accuracy and completeness
