What are the responsibilities and job description for the Select Employee Benefits New Business Coordinator position at USI Holdings Corporation?
General Description: Assist sales and account management team with the effective transition of new business cases from sales to operations.
Responsibilities:
- Assist Select producers and the operations team leader/implementation specialist with the onboarding of recent sales.
- Facilitate the transfer of recent sales from the producers to the appropriate operations team member.
- Serve as the subject matter expert for producers on new client implementation forms and processes.
- Assist with the preparation of the materials needed for submission of new business to insurance carriers and in some cases complete those submissions to carrier partners.
- Request information from new clients and carriers and build out internal files with this information in our systems and folders.
- Request and monitor new business missing information from clients, producers, and carriers as needed.
- Verify accuracy of commissions on new business cases.
- Ensure accurate and timely response to all outstanding issues.
- Establish and maintain effective working relationships with internal partners, clients, and carriers.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
- Entry-level position. College degree preferred.
- Customer service experience preferred.
- Must be willing to earn health, life, and disability insurance license.
- Knowledge of BenefitPoint and ImageRight preferred.
- Ability to set priorities and manage deadlines.
- Comfortable with internet-based programs and Microsoft Office products.
- Detail oriented and prioritizes accuracy.
- Ability to work independently and in a team environment.
- Eager to learn new concepts and further professional development.
- Open to feedback and coaching.
- Ability to define problems and generate potential solutions.
