USL Spokane is seeking an upbeat, professional, and articulate Public Address (PA) Announcer to be the voice of Spokane Zephyr FC. This position will add to the overall fan experience by serving as the in-stadium voice for Spokane Zephyr FC home games.
THIS IS A PART TIME SEASONAL POSITION – Must be available for all home games including pre-season games, regular season, friendlies, and potential playoff games. Most games take place, on Wednesday’s, Saturdays, or Sundays, but other games may occur other different days of the week.
Essential Job Functions:
· Act as public address announcer with the ability to project and enunciate clearly over the microphone in front of a large crowd. Bring enthusiasm and knowledge of the game of soccer to USL Spokane as the voice for USL Spokane at the One Stadium.
· Announce all in-game action, including but not limited to:
o Lineups
o Pre-game activities
o In-game promotions
o Scores
o Extra time
o Halftime activities
o Post-game announcements
· Read all sponsorship reads in script
· Display a positive attitude and professional demeanor while representing the USL Spokane Teams
· Work closely with all USL Spokane game day operations.
· This position involves work on the weekends, evenings, and some holidays.
Minimum Qualifications
· Previous public address or vocal broadcasting experience, experience acting in front of a live audience or acting experience.
· General knowledge and understanding of Soccer, including rules, positions, and terminology.
· Must be able to take direction and adjust quickly in fast-paced situations.
· Ability to pass comprehensive background check including a motor vehicle report. Attend and pass SafeSport training.
· Possess and maintain a current and valid driver’s license and maintain legally required insurance or have reliable transportation to get to work.
· Proven ability to build respectful working relationships and effectively communicate with others.
Compensation and Benefits:
· Non-Exempt position with a range of $18 - $25 per hour.
· Paid Sick Leave – 1 hour for every 40 hours worked
