Key Responsibilities:
- Evaluate and Underwrite: Review and manage submissions with accuracy, ensuring compliance with underwriting guidelines and delegated authority.
- Customer Engagement: Provide prompt and high-quality service on quotes, re-quotes, and endorsements, prioritizing customer satisfaction.
- Relationship Management: Build and maintain strong relationships with customers, understanding their needs and driving business growth.
- Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work closely with teams across Underwriting, Business Development, Claims, IT, and other departments to enhance operational efficiency.
- Market Insight & Innovation: Stay informed on industry trends, analyze competitive insights, and contribute to product development initiatives.
Additional Responsibilities:
- Mentorship: Support and guide new underwriters, fostering knowledge-sharing and a collaborative team environment.
- Professional Development: Commit to continuous learning by completing underwriting classes, exams, designations, and training within 24 months of hire.

Qualifications:
- Experience:
- 3 years of underwriting experience in Commercial Property & Casualty, Personal, or Management & Professional Liability lines.
- Insurance-related coursework (CPCU, RPLU, etc.) is a plus.
- Alternative Experience (5 years in any of the following):
- Other insurance roles (e.g., sales, claims, agent/broker).
- Financial services (e.g., banking, mortgage, consulting).
- Legal services (e.g., attorney, paralegal).
- Travel: Willingness to travel as needed to maintain strong customer relationships (for travel roles).
