Job Summary
The adjunct instructor position teaches undergraduate and/or graduate students in a variety of courses in the Public Health program. Adjunct faculty members facilitate students’ achievement of course objectives and competencies as determined by the program. Adjunct faculty members work closely with the program coordinators to ensure that the standards and quality of the public health curricula are met and maintained.
Primary Duties and Responsibilities
1. Teach undergraduate and graduate students in a variety of courses in the Public Health program. Teaching includes preparation of course materials such as syllabi, course content, homework assignments, and handouts; evaluation and grading of students’ class work, assignments, and papers; maintaining student attendance records, grades, and other required records; and holding regularly scheduled office hours to assist students.
2. Adhere to the University and class schedules as posted, including course meeting times, examination dates, and submission of grades.
3. Communicate student progress and concerns with the course coordinators.
4. Follow the policies of the College of Nursing and Health Professions and the School of Health Professions.
5.Perform other duties as assigned.
