Job Summary
The School of Construction and Design at the University of Southern
Mississippi seeks applications for a full-time, 9-month, tenure-track Assistant
Professor position. We seek candidates who are student-centered, possess construction industry
experience, innovative, and enjoy working in a collaborative environment. Candidates
with applied Building
Information Modeling (BIM) teaching and research interests are encouraged to apply. The expected start date
will be August 2022.
Primary Duties and Responsibilities
- Teach assigned courses. The current areas of teaching needs are BIM, Construction Scheduling, Estimating, and Construction Law.
- Conduct research that supports the construction industry and/or construction education.
- Participate in service opportunities within the School, College, University, and community.
- Maintain regular office hours.
- Provide end of semester course assessment data.
- Actively participate in Industry Advisory Council (IAC) activities, School functions and student-related organization activities.
- Attend faculty meetings.
