Job Summary
Delivers and supports audio equipment
from loaner pool available to faculty, staff and student organizations;
provides first level support for permanently installed audio and video
equipment; assists with the support of classroom equipment, including SMART and
interactive video classrooms. Provides
first level support for security camera systems throughout campus.
Primary Duties and Responsibilities
- Assists customers in the identification of appropriate audio/video technologies, writing of specifications, product evaluations, price quotations, purchasing equipment, effectiveness of equipment, and training to operate audio systems effectively.
- Serves as the key resource for audio/video technology to campus during presentations, athletic events, commencement, and other university functions.
- Supports security camera systems including repairs and training.
- Maintains current awareness of developing trends in audio/video technology. Attends certification and training classes when available.
- Assists with the support of classroom equipment, including but not limited to SMART and interactive video classrooms. Serves as first level of technical support for classroom audio/video technology.
- Serves as support on audio/video projects for satellite campus locations and as a point of contact for audio/video projects as needed.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
