Job Summary
Installs,
maintains, and repairs electrical systems, facilities, and related electronic
controls and devices in addition to, all primary and secondary power
systems. Reads utility meters as
required. Works athletic and other events as assigned, which often occur after
normal working hours and on weekends. This position is
considered “essential personnel” and may require unusual attendance
responsibilities, such as storm duty.
Primary Duties and Responsibilities
- Installs, maintains, and repairs electrical equipment and circuits such as wires, conduits, switches, outlets, junction boxes, transformers, motors, and generators in facilities such as pumps, lighting equipment, carrier systems, timing devices, electrical heating units, exhaust systems, smoke detectors, fire alarms, hypothermal units, thermostats, timing devices, Lutron lighting dimmer panels and electrical systems of furnaces and boilers.
- Completes assigned work orders in a timely and efficient fashion while maintaining a friendly and professional demeanor with all customers.
- Cuts, threads, bends, and installs piping for conduits; disassembles, cleans, repairs, and reassembles electrical motors and related equipment following established procedures.
- Tests, maintains, and repairs all emergency electrical equipment including generators and back-up UPS.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
