Job Summary
Using
industry project management standards and methodologies, provides leadership
and oversight in planning, scheduling, budgeting, resourcing, and completion of
deliverables for assigned projects. Works with senior management, project sponsors,
stakeholders, and co-workers to ensure the scope and objectives of projects are
met on schedule. Verifies that all facets of assigned projects are being
tracked and documented.
Primary Duties and Responsibilities
- Follow standard project
management methodology for the delivery and implementation of assigned
projects, including scope, objectives, schedule, tasks, budget,
documentation, and resource requirements. Will use tools such as MS
Project, SharePoint, Cherwell, Office 365, etc. Provides project controls for
team and serves as an advisor to the Enterprise Technology Planning Manager,
Chief Information Officer, Directors, and staff with respect to project
management standards and status.
- Assembles team (USM
resources, vendors, consultants, etc.), monitors staff assigned to
projects, and provides guidance to complete assignments in a timely and
effective manner.
- Responsible for meeting
project commitments, including communications with sponsors, stakeholders,
and team members. Facilitates meetings with project teams to receive
action items status, and to address issues within projects. Develops
reports defining project health for scope, schedule, budget, issues,
risks, and resolutions to appropriate levels of management and team.
- Performs systems
analysis, creates RFP/RFI, scope, requirements, design, test planning/scrips
and other documentation with the team or as assigned.
- Use various project
management methodologies and processes following industry standards to
improve project results.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
