Job Summary
Performs
manual cleaning of the assigned building by the foreman. Uses proper methods and materials in cleaning
and care for the building area and equipment, participates in the care,
cleaning, and general housekeeping of the buildings that is assigned,
completing all task (football, baseball, work orders, etc.) assigned by the
foreman.
Primary Duties and Responsibilities
- Performs manual cleaning of the assigned building by the foreman. Uses proper methods and materials in cleaning and care for the building area and equipment, participates in the care, cleaning, and general housekeeping of the buildings that is assigned, completing all task (football, baseball, work orders, etc.) assigned by the foreman.
- Sweeps, mops, scrubs, buffs, and waxes floors; dusts and cleans chalkboards and erasers; washes windows, walls, and blinds; and empties trash cans. Dusts general areas.
- Cleans large public areas such as football stadium, basketball coliseum, baseball field, and Bennett Auditorium and grounds after events. Cleans areas used for special events on campus such as circus before and after the events.
- Helps the foreman and lead person when responding to emergency situations during and after hours. Emergency situations may include; property damage, personal injury, water leaks, flooding, overflowing restroom fixtures, broken window or door glass, and accidents resulting in the appearance of bodily fluids (blood, vomit waste, and urine).
- Must be able to show knowledge on the following types of equipment: wet vacuum, and pressure washer.
