The Category Manager will manage the sourcing and purchasing of indirect products and / or services offering the best total cost of ownership for the company. Mainly, the focus will be on guaranteeing The Oncology Network (The Network) has the highest quality products and / or services at the most cost-effective price.

SPECIFIC RESPONSIBILITIES
Indirect Product / Service Management (50%)
Sources indirect products and / or services including Radiation & Imaging Equipment and Marketing ServicesConsults and works with other functional areas within the Company as requiredManages supplier relationshipsManages indirect product and / or service specifications, supplier evaluations, and competitive bidsNegotiates contract terms and conditions as well as renewalsCommunicates value of the overall program to end usersParticipates in the development and implementation of indirect products and / or services programs that strategically support the company and the Procurement DepartmentIndirect Product / Service Analysis (50%)
Participates in the evaluation of new indirect products and / or servicesCommunicates regularly with operating Management to determine needs and assesses effectiveness of national purchasing programsOversees resolution of on-going operational issuesWorks continuously to optimize the order to delivery systems between preferred suppliers and The NetworkDetermines the cost / benefit of centralized compared to decentralized orderingCoordinates review of invoices for indirect product / service and confirms accuracyMonitors on-time payments and rebate allocationsValidates strategic supplier costsDevelops reporting standards and requirementsCoordinates & manages internal and external supplier reporting of key activitiesReviews reports for accuracy and trendsProvides Director with the information necessary to make key decisions and / or approvals in a timely mannerCORE / CRITICAL COMPETENCIES
