Job Summary: We are seeking a detail-oriented and organized Business Office Clerk to join our administrative team. This role will primarily focus on accounts payable (AP) responsibilities while supporting various business office functions. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in administrative tasks, financial processing, and customer service. This position requires excellent attention to detail, communication skills, and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
Responsibilities:
- Process accounts payable invoices, including verifying accuracy, obtaining approvals, and preparing payments.
- Maintain accurate financial records and ensure timely payment of vendor invoices.
- Assist with patient billing, payment posting, and collections as needed.
- Answer incoming calls and assist patients with billing inquiries or direct them to the appropriate department.
- Collaborate with vendors and internal departments to resolve payment discrepancies.
- Maintain organized filing systems for financial and administrative documents.
- Support scheduling, registration, and other business office functions as needed.
- Adhere to HIPAA regulations and maintain patient confidentiality.
Required Skills:
- Knowledge of accounts payable processes and financial record-keeping.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, especially Excel.
- Strong communication and customer service skills.
- Excellent organizational and time-management abilities.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment.

- Knowledge of medical terminology and healthcare billing practices is a plus
Required Experience:

- Minimum of 1 year of experience in accounts payable or administrative roles, preferably in a healthcare setting.
- Experience with electronic medical records (EMR) systems and financial software is a plus.
- Familiarity with ambulatory surgery center (ASC) operations preferred.
