Job Summary
Maintain a sterile environment and anticipate the needs of the surgical team during procedures.
Key Responsibilities:
- Ensure sterility of supplies and instruments
- Assist in maintaining a clean and organized operating room
- Participate in sponge, needle, and instrument counts
- Gown and glove surgeons and assistants
- Transport surgical equipment to cleaning areas
- Interact effectively with patients and staff
- Follow safety protocols and guidelines
Requirements:
- High School Diploma/GED and completion of a Scrub Technician Program
- Two years experience as a Scrub Tech or equivalent combination of education and experience
- Certification preferable
Work Environment:
The work environment is fast-paced and requires attention to detail. The employee is frequently exposed to chemicals, fumes, and radiation.
