What are the responsibilities and job description for the Electrician - Plant Operations position at USPI?
The Plant Operations Electrician is responsible for servicing, repairing, and maintaining equipment and space under all Plant Operations departmental functions supporting the hospital mission, vision, and facility goals. The Plant Operations Electrician works under the supervision of and in coordination with the Director of Plant Operations. This position establishes effective working relationships with all constituencies, including patients, physicians, employees, volunteers, and vendors. The Plant Operations Electrician assists the Director of Plant Operations in identifying and remedying all issues concerning the Plant Operations department and equipment. The Electrician works to meet departmental and facility goals.
Required Skills:
- High School graduate or equivalent
- Good working knowledge of repair and maintenance of equipment found in a hospital setting other than that maintained by Bio-Med services
- Good aural activity is needed to detect malfunctions in equipment
- Good eye-hand coordination and manual dexterity
- Good communication skills
- Licenses Journeyman at a minimum
