What are the responsibilities and job description for the FSH Manager of Information Technology FT position at USPI?
The Manager of Information Technology shall provide leadership and management to the Information Technology (IT) department in its charge to provide, operate, and maintain computing and telecommunication facilities, equipment, and services that meet the needs of Fresno Surgical Hospital and its Customers. The Manager of IT is responsible for all aspects of Information Technology management and control, including supervision of Information Technology employees, budget preparation and management, recommendations for technical acquisitions, and development of guidelines, standards and procedures. The Manager is charged with strategic planning, tactical action, and operational decision-making to fulfill the mission of the IT department. The Manager must possess initiative and drive, have broad relevant technical knowledge with good management expertise and have excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Salary: $59.00 - $73.00 (Depending on Experience)
Hours: Monday - Friday, 8 hours/day
Minimum Education:
- High School diploma or equivalent.
- Bachelor’s degree preferred.
Required Licenses/Certifications
- MCSE Certification preferred (Systems Admin. Engineer, Data Base Admin.)
Required Skills:
- Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists.
- Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.
- Able to communicate professionally at all levels within and outside of the organization.
- Familiar with standard concepts, practices, and procedures within the information technology field to successfully perform routinely complicated tasks.

Essential Functions:
- Assists in the planning and implementation of additions, deletions and major modifications to the Information Technology systems.
- Builds and maintains vendor relationships and manages the purchase of hardware and software products.
- Implements network security at the facility level as established by approved Policies and Procedures Initiates and implements improvements in all areas of IT responsibility.
- Manages and develops upgrades to the company's telephone system and oversees all telephone system changes.
- Oversees all help desk activities and offers expert support when necessary.
- Oversees troubleshooting, systems backups, archiving, and disaster recovery and provides expert support when necessary.
- Serves as main point of contact on all IT-related matters for FSH
- Other duties as assigned
