What are the responsibilities and job description for the GI Technician position at USPI?
USPI Theda Oaks Gastro and Endo is seeking a motivated GI Technician to join our team. Our team is small, but we are mighty! Current operations are M-F, 5:30 a.m. - 6:30p.m., however hours will depend on patient flow. We have 4 Treatment rooms. We perform outpatient surgical procedures in Gastroenterology and Pain Management
Job Summary: The GI Tech assists endoscopy team during endoscopy procedures. They arrange and inventory sterile set-up for operation and passes items as needed to the endoscopy team. Assists in preparing and moving patients, and in cleaning the endoscopy room. The Endo Tech is responsible for the provision of care to meet identified patient outcomes and to achieve the goals of the facility as directed by the Registered Nurse. Provides a centralized distribution and control of supplies and equipment to the facility. The tech also stores prepared articles and supplies in designated areas. Maintains and tracks inventory according to facility procedures. This position reports to the Charge Nurse and ASC Director.
