What You’ll Do
As a Pain/Phase II RN, you’ll play a critical role in pre-operative preparation and post-operative recovery, ensuring each patient receives safe and compassionate care.
Pain Center Pre-Operative Responsibilities:
✔️ Prepare patients for procedures following hospital policies.
✔️ Educate patients and families about the surgical experience.
✔️ Monitor patient conditions and respond to emergency situations as needed.
✔️ Ensure all necessary pre-op requirements are met before surgery.
✔️ Maintain and rotate supplies/medications to prevent expirations.
Phase II Recovery Responsibilities:
✔️ Receive patient handoff from PACU or OR nurse.
✔️ Monitor vital signs, airway, respiratory & circulatory status.
✔️ Administer medications and follow physician orders.
✔️ Promote patient comfort, privacy, and safety.
✔️ Educate patients and families on post-op care and discharge instructions.
✔️ Coordinate smooth patient discharge, ensuring a seamless transition home.
✔️ Complete post-operative calls and provide follow-up care.
What We’re Looking For
Licensure & Certification:
✔ Active Oklahoma RN License (or eligibility)
✔ BLS Certification (within 30 days of hire)
✔ ACLS/PALS Certification (within 6 months of hire)
Experience:
✔ Minimum 1 year of experience as a Pain or Phase II nurse.
