Mission and Responsibilities
The OR Manager is a key role at Memorial Hermann Surgery Center Woodforest, which is part of United Surgical Partners International. Our organization specializes in developing and operating Ambulatory Surgical Facilities in the U.S. and the U.K.
We provide high-quality surgical services to local communities, and we consider our employees our most valuable assets. The OR Manager is responsible for ensuring all departmental functions support our hospital's mission, vision, and facility goals.
The Manager must identify cost-effective systems that meet business needs, taking into account trends, resource availability, and customer requirements. They establish effective working relationships with various stakeholders, including patients, physicians, employees, volunteers, and vendors.
The Department Manager works closely with Senior Management to achieve Facility goals. They oversee surgery, anesthesia, and sterile processing services and assist as RN Circulator and Scrub Tech when necessary.
Key Skills and Qualifications
- Graduate of an accredited school of professional nursing.
- Baccalaureate degree preferred.
- Five (5) years of experience in surgery as a circulator.
- Two (2) years of experience in surgery management, including pre-op, intra-op, and post-op care.
- Current Texas RN License and BLS certification.
- CNOR certification preferred.
- Independent decision-making skills and ability to prioritize multiple projects.
- Excellent communication skills with staff and physicians.
