The Orthopedic Surgery Center is seeking an experienced Pre Admissions RN - PAT RN to join our team. The Orthopedic Surgery Center is a fast paced multi-specialty surgery center committed to producing the highest quality work and experience for patients and their families.
Job Summary:
Under the direct supervision of the Pre-Op Nurse Manager, in conjunction with the Clinical Director, the Pre-Admission Nurse performs a verbal assessment with the patient prior to admission via a phone interview as well as collects the patient’s medical history from previous medical records and integrates information into facilities’ web-based patient medical portal. The nurse also works closely with the surgeons’ offices and anesthesia groups in coordinating the patient’s needs prior to surgery.

Required Skills:

Graduate of an accredited school of nursing
- CO RN License
- Minimum 2 year experience in a hospital setting
- Ability to recognize, evaluates, solve problems and correct errors.
- Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with patients, hospital staff, physicians, vendors and the public.
- Excellent communication and organizational skills.
- Demonstrates accountability, professionalism, openness, receptive to change, creativity and innovative.
- Ability to care for patients from infancy to geriatrics
- Excellent teaching skills
- Basic knowledge of Performance Improvement ideology
- Must be able to physically act as a nurse and must have a great phone voice and personable
