We are seeking a Junior Estimator to join our construction team. This role is ideal for a detail-oriented and analytical individual looking to build a career in construction estimating. The Junior Estimator will assist in preparing accurate cost-estimates, analyzing project requirements, and supporting senior estimators in the bidding process.
Key Responsibilities:
• Assist in preparing cost estimates for construction projects, including labor, materials and equipment
• Review blueprints, specifications, and project documents to understand project scope.
• Perform quantity takeoffs using estimating software
• Communicate with subcontractors and suppliers to obtain pricing and quotes.
• Assist in preparing bid proposals and cost breakdowns for clients.
• Collaborate with project managers, engineers, and architects to ensure accuracy in estimates.
• Track and update project budgets and cost trends
• Stay up to date with construction materials, labor costs, and industry trends
Qualifications:
• Bachelor’s degree in construction management, Civil Engineering or related field
• 3 years of experience in construction estimating or a related role
• Basic knowledge of estimating software
• Strong analytical and mathematical skills
• Excellent communication and organizational abilities
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and meet deadlines
• Familiarity with construction methods, codes, and regulations is a plus
