Responsibilities
- Drive a designated route to deliver mail and packages to rural customers.
- Load and unload mail from the delivery vehicle, ensuring proper handling of items.
- Perform heavy lifting as required for packages and mail.
- Maintain accurate records of deliveries and pickups.
- Provide exceptional customer service by addressing inquiries and concerns from customers.
- Operate various types of vehicles, including box trucks, while adhering to all safety regulations.
- Utilize manual transmission vehicles when necessary.
- Assist in managing the logistics of route driving, including planning efficient delivery routes.
Requirements
- Previous experience as a delivery driver or courier is preferred.
- Ability to perform heavy lifting and load/unload items safely.
- Familiarity with route driving and navigating rural areas is essential.
- Strong customer service skills with the ability to communicate effectively with customers.
- Experience with commercial driving is a plus.
- Proficiency in operating a pallet jack and other loading equipment is beneficial.
- A valid driver's license with a clean driving record is required.
- Must be able to operate manual transmission vehicles if needed.
