Come join our team at the forefront of innovation while enjoying excellent benefits! We're seeking a Training Program Specialist in the Office of Policy and International Affairs (OPIA). This role will provide course development and planning assistance to attorneys and other OPIA officials, budget development and execution, and logistical planning, oversight and support for intellectual property training and education programs and in carrying out training courses and conferences annually both domestically and abroad.
Telework
The physical worksite for this position is located in Alexandria, Virginia.
*TELEWORK: This position is eligible for up to 4 days telework per week and reporting the remaining day in the office at the USPTO, Alexandria, VA campus. (Additional days "in office" may be required periodically based on the needs of the office and per agency and business unit discretion/policy.
Duties

- Are looking forward to serving as a primary point of contact to OPIA staff attorneys as well as other high level USPTO officials in training programs and conference planning and execution.
- Have experience providing management support with regard to reporting of program costs, participation, collection and update of all database programs, completion and collection participant evaluation forms and provide information to hosting attorney on results.
- Are committed to overseeing logistical support for training and education programs held by GIPA both at USPTO in Alexandria, Virginia, other US cities for planned study tours, as well as regional programs held internationally.
- Have experience managing and overseeing communication of training programs and close outs and provide reports of training program/event results.

Qualifications
- Experience in planning, organizing and executing large scale training programs and conferences;
- Experience in setting contract needs, reviewing contract bids, and ensuring all contracting requirements are met; and
- Experience in researching and analyzing cost-effective logistics solutions.
Education
Education may not be substituted for specialized experience at this grade level.
