USRowing is a nonprofit organization recognized by the United States Olympic and Paralympic Committee as the national governing body for the sport of rowing in the United States. The organization’s mission is to steward, strengthen, and grow American rowing by championing performance and igniting new passion for the sport.
USRowing selects, trains, and manages the teams that represent the U.S. in international competition. The organization serves multiple constituencies including novice learn-to-rowers, parents of rowers, masters rowers, adaptive rowers, collegiate rowers, indoor rowers and, most recently, coastal rowers.
We are focused on growing diversity, equity, and inclusion within the sport of rowing on a national scale, on increasing support for our national team programs, and providing additional benefits and value to our over 77,000 individual members and 1,430 rowing organizations.
What We Offer
USRowing is offering a Competition Internship within the Competition Department, during the summer of 2025. These events include the USRowing Youth National Championships (winner of the 2023 SportTravel Award for Best Amateur Event), the USRowing Youth Beach Sprints National Championships, and the USRowing RowFest National Championships.
The Competition Interns will collaborate with the Competition Team to create and execute the full event run of show, set up the on-site production area, lead special projects and other specific venue management related tasks. Interns will support race day operations, including production and broadcasting related tasks, alongside USRowing staff, venue teams, contractors, and other stakeholders. This internship offers individuals dynamic experiences and opportunities from gaining valuable hands-on event management skills to contributing to the crowning of national champions.
