Seasonal part-time position for an Admissions Cashier for the 2025 Summer season.

The USS Lexington is a national treasure, having played a significant role in the nation’s defense for nearly 50 years. Her World War II record is second to none; as a place where Americans died in defense of freedom, she is a relic worth preserving. She continues to serve today as a museum and educational facility.
Scope: One of the first interactions guests will have with the USS Lexington Museum, responsible for welcoming each visitor to the museum. Understand admissions cashier protocols to accept cash, cards, coupons, or combinations. Provide support to visitors as needed to ensure they enjoy their visit. Be a part of preserving this historic vessel and keeping the history of the USS Lexington - CV16 alive.
Responsibilities:
- Cheerfully greets each visitor and/or party.
- Is knowledgeable about the museum and admissions policies in order to competently answer visitor inquiries.
- Accepts visitor entrance fee payments and properly enters the amount of payment in the admission cash register. Collects cash and other forms of admission fees other than cash: such as credit cards, combination ticket stubs, coupons, etc.
- Able to follow established museum cashier procedures.
- Must be available to work weekends and holidays.
- Perform other duties are assigned.

While performing the duties of this job the employee is occasionally exposed to wet, hot, cold and/or humid conditions, fumes or airborne particles and outside weather conditions. The noise level in the environment is moderate to occasionally loud.
Physical Demands: The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job. While performing the duties of this job the employee is regularly required to sit; use hands to file, handle or feel and talk or hear. The employee is frequently required to reach with hands and arms. The employee is occasionally required to stand; walk and climb or balance. The employee is occasionally required to lift up to 10-20 pounds. The vision requirements include: close vision, distance vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus.
