We partner with major furniture and appliance retailers at over 200 locations across the country to provide warehousing and final mile delivery solutions. What You Will Do:
The Assistant Delivery Manager will assist the Delivery Manager with directing the delivery and warehouse operations in the assigned location. This position will help with managing, scheduling, routing, unloading, staging, and inventory processes. Pay, Schedule, Benefits, and More:
- Salary range of $56,000-60,000
- Biweekly pay
- Schedule Information: This location operates 24/7. As the assistant delivery manager, you will primarily be working morning shifts.

Position Responsibilities:
(include, but not limited to)
- Acts as manager on duty when the Delivery Manager is absent
- Assists Delivery Manager to ensure all operations are operating in compliance with DOT and OSHA requirements
- Assists the delivery department in accomplishing delivery and quality standards
- Conducts ride behinds and evaluations of contractors to determine skill levels and development opportunities
- Ensures all claims are charged back to the appropriate driver
- Ensures that maintenance of all delivery and service vehicles are completed
- Ensures the scheduling department achieves all daily shipping goals
- Establishes and maintains a positive working relationship with all team members and other store personnel
- Manages routing team to include cost control and efficiency. Communicating with stores, customers, contractors and Market Management will be required daily. Serviced markets include Syracuse, Rochester, Buffalo, Albany
- Oversees accurate and efficient loading of all vehicles for the delivery of retail home products to the end consumer (last mile)
- Oversees the warehouse and inventory control processes to ensure the inventory’s integrity is maintained
- Responsible as the Acting Manager on duty when the Delivery Manager is absent
Requirements:
- Ability to work a schedule that may include early mornings, evenings, weekends, and some holidays
- Effective written and verbal communication
- High School Diploma or equivalent education
- Previous experience in Warehouse or Distribution operations
- Proficient in Microsoft Office including Word, Excel and Outlook
- Valid Driver’s License
