Market Manager Overview
As the Market Manager, you will lead delivery operations within an assigned territory by ensuring company standards, procedures, and goals are met or exceeded. You will manage employee delivery drivers, dispatch and delivery processes, and client/customer relationships. This position requires a leader with a strong business acumen that encompasses culture, financial aptitude, people leadership, and operational excellence.
Responsibilities
(include, but are not limited to)
- Analyzes scheduling and routing procedures as well as statistical and routine reports for operation analysis
- Directs and assists the delivery team in accomplishing their deliveries
- Ensures all operations are compliant with DOT and OSHA requirements
- Oversees loading and unloading of delivery vehicles
- Ensures that maintenance of all delivery and service vehicles are completed as scheduled
- Ensures the scheduling department achieves all daily delivery goals
- Monitor weekly reports to ensure KPIs and financial objectives are being met
- Responsible for budget accomplishments and failures within assigned market
- Conducts ride behinds and evaluations of employees to determine skill level
- Ensures all damage claims are handled in a timely manner
- Coordinates with customer service to ensure that all customers are satisfied
- Sets goals and tracks all performance related statistics
- Responsible for recruiting, training, coaching and development of team members
- Establishes and maintains a positive working relationship with all members of client’s store personnel
Requirements
- Higher education and/or equivalent experience
- Extensive travel within assigned market
- Proficient in Microsoft Office including Word, Excel, and Outlook
- Effectively communicate in writing and verbally
- Valid Driver’s License
- Flexible Schedule - Must be able to work a schedule that may include early mornings, evenings, weekends, and some holidays
- Handle all needs of the customers
- Integrity in all things
