The C Modelling Engineer provides leadership to multiple projects with appropriate technical options and well-suited design standards for embedded system product development system level validation and performance optimization strategies. Account for others' developmental activities; assist project manager in day-to-day project execution.

Role Location: Washington
Compensation Range: $68,800-$103,200
Benefits
Full-time, regular employees accrue a minimum of 10 days of paid vacation per year, receive 6 days of paid sick leave each year (pro-rated for new hires throughout the year), 10 paid holidays, and are eligible for paid bereavement leave and jury duty. You Are
The C Modelling Engineer provides leadership to multiple projects with appropriate technical options and well-suited design standards for embedded system product development system level validation and performance optimization strategies. Account for others' developmental activities; assist project manager in day-to-day project execution.
The Opportunity
- Develop and maintain C-based models for hardware components to meet performance and functionality requirements.
- Create simulation environments and test cases to validate models against hardware specifications.
- Optimize C models for speed and accuracy, identifying and resolving performance bottlenecks.
- Collaborate with hardware, embedded software, and system engineering teams to ensure model functionality aligns with overall system goals.
- Conduct performance analysis to support design decisions and provide insights for hardware design improvements.
- Drive continuous improvement by implementing best practices in C modeling, simulation, and performance tuning.
- Document technical specifications, test plans, and usage guidelines to ensure model accuracy and usability.
What You Need
- 5 years of experience in embedded software development, focusing on C-based hardware modelling and simulation.
- Strong expertise in C programming, especially in creating, testing, and optimizing hardware models.
- In-depth understanding of computer architecture, digital signal processing, and embedded systems.
- Proficiency with simulation and debugging tools for embedded systems.
- Excellent problem-solving and communication skills for effective cross-functional collaboration.
- Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience with hardware/software co-simulation tools and methodologies.
- Familiarity with SystemC or similar system modeling languages.
- Knowledge of hardware description languages (e.g., Verilog, VHDL) is a plus.
- Relevant certifications in embedded systems and Agile development experience.
