The Role
Schedule:
Dates: Monday, July 7, 2025 - Monday, September 8, 2025.
July 7, 2025 - August 10, 2025. - Approximately 5 hours weekly
Player Hotel: August 11, 2025 - September 8, 2025.
The US Open Hotel Player Services Manager is responsible for overseeing all aspects of the player experience at the designated player hotel during the tournament. This individual will ensure seamless operations, exceptional customer service, and a comfortable and convenient stay for all players, their support teams, and other VIPs.
- Oversee all aspects of the player services operation and serve as the main point of contact with hotel meetings and conference planner and other hotel staff.
- Serve as the main point of contact for meeting space, banquet, and player operations buildout with the hotel prior to and during the event, coordinating logistics and ensuring smooth execution. Areas include but not limited to player medical, credentials, Roadwerx, Recover, transportation, and LaVazza.
- Collaborate with the Hotel Reservations Manager to oversee the player arrival and departure experience, ensuring smooth check-in and check-out processes, luggage handling, and transportation arrangements.
- Oversee F&B/dining operations and billing for players, working with the hotel's F&B department to ensure high-quality service and accurate billing.
- Provide exceptional on-property customer service to players, addressing their needs and resolving any issues promptly and professionally.
- Manage hotel staff scheduling related to player services, ensuring adequate staffing levels to meet player needs.
- Manage the process for anti-doping, serving as the liaison between doping control officers and the hotel front desk staff.
- Work with outside groups utilizing the banquet spaces including pre-event set up up, in event management with hotel, and billing
Who You Are
- Bachelor's degree in Hospitality Management, Business Administration, or a related field preferred.
- Significant experience in hotel management or a related field, preferably with experience working with VIP clients or in a high-end hospitality environment.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Demonstrate the ability to work autonomously and as part of a team, as well as managing a team.
- Demonstrate excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with players, staff, and hotel personnel.
- Ability to handle multiple tasks and prioritize effectively in a fast-paced environment.
- Proficiency in Google Suite
- Knowledge of tennis or other sports is a plus.
- Be available to work for the full duration of the US Open tournament, including days, nights, weekends, and extended hours as needed.
- Bilingual (preferred).
What We Offer
Compensation: This position is non-exempt with an hourly rate of $25 per hour during the pre-tournament period. During the tournament, the role transitions to an exempt position with a total salary of $7,500.
