Genome Center Manager

Reporting to the Bioscience Core Manager and under the technical direction of the Faculty Advisory Committee, the Genome Center is seeking a full-time Research Scientist. The Research Scientist is responsible for managing all aspects of the Genome Center, including but not limited to preparing various samples for sequencing services of NGS and Sanger sequencing, maintaining laboratory equipment and records, providing guidance, and being a resource to users of the research core facilities, and support research activities utilizing other bioscience cores as needed. The incumbent will serve as an expert consultant to the users of the Genome Center regarding the technical details of the Next-Generation Sequencing and Sanger sequencing.

Minimum Education and Experience

• Master's degree in field directly related to research – Two (2) years of experience / expertise performing research relating to a specified field of study – Or equivalent combination of relevant education and experience totaling at least eight years.
