Housing: Potential for one bed in a shared room
The Utah Department of Natural Resources, Division of Wildlife Resources, has seasonal positions (no benefits) available in the Habitat Section in the Southeastern Region located in Price, Utah. This appointment will last from approximately May 6 to Aug. 23, 2025, with the possibility of earlier start dates or extensions. Housing may be available for one position.
Examples of duties
Assist with managing wildlife resources owned properties. Duties will involve: weed control, fence and signing maintenance, farming and irrigation, maintaining wildlife water structures, monitoring habitat development projects, transporting seed and equipment, and performing other duties as assigned.
Job requirements and skills
Applicants must be 18 years or older and have a valid driver’s license at the time of employment.
Preference may be given to applicants with ATV/UTV experience, four-wheel drive vehicles, pulling bumper pull and/or 5th wheel trailers, farming, plant and weed identification, GPS and/or GIS experience, or a pesticide applicators license. Applicants seeking a degree in natural resources or other wildlife fields will be given preference.
Other
Some weekend, late-night and overnight trips may be required. Work will be performed outside on a daily basis. Typical schedule is Monday–Friday, 7 a.m.–5:30 p.m.
