Job Description:
The Patient Care Tech works in partnership with the licensed nurse to support the delivery of care in a safe patient environment that promotes caring and healing. This role involves assisting patients with basic tasks such as bathing, dressing, and eating, as well as collecting specimens for lab tests and monitoring patients. The ideal candidate will have basic knowledge and skills necessary to communicate appropriately and carry out delegated tasks for age-specific populations under the supervision of a licensed nurse.

Qualifications:
To be successful in this role, you will need to possess a High School diploma or GED, completion of approved CNA or PCT certification, and active certification within the State of Texas. BLS certification is also required, which must be obtained within 30 days of hire or transfer into position. Additionally, training, education, and competencies are completed annually for any additional duties required. While experience in acute care hospital or long term care facility is preferred, it is not necessary for consideration.
