JOB SUMMARY
Responsible for assuming a leadership role with interdisciplinary team to achieve the desired goals and resource
outcomes. Responsible for acquiring working knowledge of and maintaining ongoing understanding of required
practices, procedures and processes to meet and exceed regulatory compliance standards. Adheres to the Mission,

DECISION MAKING REQUIREMENT
Responsible and accountable for making decisions that are based on the individual's educational preparation and
experience in nursing. They are responsible for performing tasks and procedures that are : within the scope of his / her
educational preparation and knowledge; permitted by the policies and procedures of UT Health Science Center at
Tyler, the Board of Nurses and permitted by other local, state, and federal guidelines. Exercises discretion with
respect to assisting the Recovery Team, Charge Nurse and Nurse Manager by determining importance of issues and
when and if to refer them.
COMMUNICATION
The RN Recovery Team nurse will have internal and external contact with employees, management and patients
and their family members. Will maintain a cooperative relationship among health care teams by communicating
information; responding to requests, building rapport, participating in team problem-solving methods. Will clearly
