- UT Health East Texas Rehabilitation Center includes a 48-bed inpatient hospital, 14 outpatient therapy clinics, 11 cardiopulmonary rehabilitation clinics and nine Olympic fitness centers, with access to some of the most advanced therapy techniques and care available.
Responsibilities
- Teachs various types of yoga, including Chair Yoga, Gentle Yoga, Power Yoga, and Hatha Yoga
- Greets each user who enters the group fitness area with an enthusiastic attitude and ensures they get to know the individual by name
- Presents a well planned, energetic, entertaining, effective and safe group fitness experience whenever they participate in a class
- Monitors user exercise response and makes adjustments as necessary
- Provides support by properly maintaining the group fitness area to ensure functionality and safety
- Promotes the facility’s services and offerings to class participants
- Attends all regularly scheduled staff meetings and participates in required training
Qualifications
Job Requirements
- High School Diploma or Equivalent
- Teaching experience should include classes similar to those to be instructed (Yoga)
- Current certification as a group fitness instructor or leader from a national fitness organization required within 90 days of employment
- CPR and AED certification
Preferred Job Requirements
- 6 months of experience or 200 hours as a group fitness instructor
